The short version
Most people who download Fasset, sign up, and then never get a working card stall at exactly one place: activating the card costs a one-time 9.99 USDT fee, and that money has to already be in your Fasset wallet before you start.
It is not a deposit requirement or a minimum balance you get back. It is a fee. If your wallet is empty, the activation flow simply will not complete, and the app does not always make the reason obvious.
Everything below assumes you know that up front. Fund first, then activate — that order saves the most time.
⚠ Fund before you tap
Deposit at least 9.99 USDT into your Fasset wallet before opening the card activation flow. Starting the flow with an empty wallet is the single most common reason activation appears to fail.
One exception worth knowing before you send anything: Fasset periodically runs promo codes that cut or completely waive the activation fee. Check for an active one first — details in the promo code section below.
Step 1 — Put USDT in your Fasset wallet
You need at least 9.99 USDT sitting in the wallet. If you do not already hold USDT on Fasset, send it in from an exchange or an external wallet:
Open Deposit → Receive Crypto → USDT
In the Fasset app, go to Deposit, choose Receive Crypto, and select USDT. Fasset will show you a deposit address and the networks it accepts.
Match the network on both sides
Copy the address and send USDT from your exchange or wallet using exactly the network Fasset displays. Sending on a network Fasset did not list is the usual way people lose funds here — the transfer leaves your exchange and never arrives.
Send slightly more than 9.99
Network withdrawal fees are deducted on the sending side, so a transfer of exactly 9.99 USDT can arrive short and leave you unable to activate. Sending 12–15 USDT avoids a second round trip.
Step 2 — Activate the card in the app
Once the USDT has landed, the activation itself takes a couple of minutes:
Log in and open Cards
Sign in to the Fasset app with your registered account, then tap the Card icon in the bottom navigation bar.
Choose virtual or physical
Select the card type you want. The virtual card is issued immediately; the physical card has been targeted for a later rollout, so virtual is what most users activate today.
Fill in the activation form
Enter the requested details, including your address. Use the address that matches your verification documents — mismatches are a common trigger for the manual review described further down.
Tap "Activate Card"
Confirm the 9.99 USDT charge and complete any security checks the app prompts you for.
Set a 4-digit PIN
Choose a secure PIN. This completes activation, and the virtual card details become visible in the app.
Fasset Card fees and limits
The activation fee is the only charge most users will meet. The rest of the card is free during the current promotional phase — which is genuinely unusual for a crypto card, and is worth checking again before you commit, since promotional pricing does not last forever.
| Item | Cost / Limit |
|---|---|
| Card activation | 9.99 USDT one-time |
| Transaction fee | Free (promotional) |
| Top-up fee | Free |
| Withdrawal fee | Free |
| Cancellation fee | Free (currently) |
| Minimum top-up | 1 USDT |
| Maximum top-up | 5,000 USDT per transaction |
| Daily spending cap | 2,000 USD |
※ Fees and limits verified August 2026 against Fasset's published card terms. Fasset has indicated spending caps may increase over time. Promotional free-fee pricing can be withdrawn — confirm current terms in the app before activating.
The card is topped up in USDT and spends in USD. It is a Visa-powered prepaid card, so it works at the places that accept Visa online rather than being restricted to crypto-friendly merchants.
When activation stalls
Two failure modes cover almost every stuck activation:
- The wallet is short. The balance has to cover the full 9.99 USDT. A deposit that arrived net of network fees can leave you a few cents under, which reads in the app as a silent failure rather than an error.
- There is an email waiting for you. If the card has not appeared roughly five minutes after refreshing the app, check the inbox of your registered email address. Fasset sends a request for additional information when activation needs manual review, and nothing moves until you answer it — including the spam folder, which is where these often land.
If both are clear and the card still has not issued, the activation is in manual review on Fasset's side and support is the next step. Nothing you do in the app will speed that up.
Where the card can and cannot be issued
Card issuance covers 40+ countries across Asia-Pacific, Africa, the Middle East, the Americas and the Caribbean — Australia, Singapore, the Philippines, Egypt, Kenya and Mexico among them.
Issuance is not available to residents of a compliance-restricted list that includes Russia, China, India, the UAE, Brazil and Nigeria. Separately, spending is blocked in Syria, Iran, Cuba, North Korea, Russia, Ukraine and Venezuela.
Both lists change. Because eligibility is decided against your verified residency rather than where you happen to be, check the current list in the app before paying the activation fee — it is the one charge you cannot undo by cancelling later.
Is the 9.99 USDT worth paying?
Honestly, it depends entirely on whether you will use the card.
If you hold stablecoins and want to spend them directly — without routing through a bank that may not want the transaction — then a Visa card with free top-ups and free transactions clears the ~$10 in a few uses. That is the real case for it, particularly in markets where getting a USD-spending card is otherwise difficult.
If you are activating purely to claim a signup bonus, the maths is worse than it looks: you are paying 9.99 USDT to unlock a reward that is typically smaller than the fee. Activate because you want the card, not because of the bonus.
Fasset promo codes — how to pay less than 9.99 USDT
Fasset runs periodic promotional campaigns that reduce or entirely waive the card activation fee. These are announced on Fasset's own official channels, and two that have been promoted directly by Fasset are:
| Promo code | Effect | Status |
|---|---|---|
| SPACEX | Activation fee fully waived | Verify in app |
| CARD99 | Activation for 0.99 USDT | Verify in app |
※ Both codes were promoted on Fasset's official channels. We cannot confirm either is currently live — see the warning below.
⚠ Always verify the code before paying
Fasset states that promo codes stop working once their expiry date passes or the campaign's maximum redemption quota is reached. Its own guidance is explicit: if the price does not change when you enter the code, do not proceed with the payment. A code that no longer works will not error — it will simply leave the full fee in place.
To apply one:
Open Card → Activate Card
Tap the Card icon on your Fasset home screen and start the activation flow as normal.
Find "Add Promo Code" on the payment screen
On the payment confirmation step there is a field labelled Add Promo Code. Type the code exactly as written, including capitalisation.
Confirm the total actually dropped
The displayed total should update immediately to reflect the discount. If it still reads 9.99 USDT, the code is dead — stop, and do not complete the payment.
Codes must be applied during activation. They cannot be added retroactively once payment has gone through, and Fasset does not refund the difference afterwards.
